ViewRanger GPS has introduced a Global Open Maps edition for iPhone and iPad that is now available for download at the iTunes App Store.
The launch on Apple iOS means the ViewRanger Open Maps edition is now available on all three of the most widely owned smartphone operating systems (Android, Symbian, and Apple). The app provides access to a range of global Open Mapping layers including street maps, open terrain, and aerial photo perspectives and is now available for an introductory price of $0.99 (normally $3.99).
The Open Maps version means that iPhone and iPad owners who participate in a variety of outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking, cycling and running, can enjoy the benefits of ViewRanger, but at a reduced cost.
