Redwood City, CA—Shutterfly’s completely redesigned iPhone photo app combines photo storage, viewing and photo gift creation in one place—right from an iPhone. Shutterfly app users can now create personalized gifts in minutes, when choosing a photo and then viewing an instant preview of the photo on one of the app’s 30 gift choices.

“At Shutterfly, we understand the importance of celebrating life’s everyday moments, and we know mobile photography continues to be on the rise,” said Heather Maddan, Shutterfly’s chief storyteller. “Shutterfly’s new iPhone app will allow customers to take photos from their iPhones and easily share them with loved ones and create prints, photo gifts and lasting memories.”

The new Shutterfly iPhone app includes the ability to create more than 30 photo gifts with iPhone, Facebook, Instagram and Shutterfly photos and to quickly order prints with those photos, including panorama prints that take advantage of Apple’s iOS 6 panorama camera feature and square prints that match Instagram’s photo format. Users can also upload and backup iPhone photos to Shutterfly accounts more easily; the simplified process clearly marks uploaded photos and keeps tracks of where users are in the upload process.

Using the app, consumers can also view their entire Shutterfly online picture collection right from the phone, and they can share those photos via e-mail and/or post them to a sharing site or Facebook.

The Shutterfly iPhone photo app is available for free in the Apple App Store. shutterfly.com
