Digital Photography Market Will Increase to $82.4 Billion by 2016: BCC Research

Wellesley, MA—The global digital photography market, valued at $68.4 billion in 2011, is projected to increase to nearly $82.5 billion in 2016, a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.8%, according to findings in Digital Photography: Global Markets, a new technical market research report from BCC Research.

BCC breaks the digital photography market into three segments: digital camera and camera lens; photo printer and processing equipment; and digital photography complementary products. The segment made up of digital cameras and camera lenses accounted for $37.6 billion in 2011 and is expected to increase at a CAGR of 5.8% to reach $49.8 billion in 2016, reports BCC.

The segment made up of photo printers and processing equipment, which accounted for $25 billion in 2011, and projected to decrease at a CAGR of -0.2% to $24.7 billion in 2016, according to the findings.

Additionally, the segment made up of complementary products and accessories, which was valued at $5.7 billion in 2011, should be worth nearly $7.9 billion, a CAGR of 6.6%, by 2016. bccresearch.com
