Microsoft’s recently announced retail stores are still on track- with the first stores set to open this fall.
In an interview with CNET, a Microsoft spokesman said that the company plans to open locations "in proximity to Apple," starting this fall. More stores are expected to arrive next year.
The software giant’s foray into retail was announced in February, and the company brought in David Porter, a longtime Walmart executive, to oversee the project.
