One Chance – Tamron 16–300mm f/3.5–6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro Lens

When your Little Leaguer steals a base, this 18.8x telephoto zoom lens can capture your child’s excited look far better than any smartphone! The all-in-one lens will bring the action in close, take in sweeping vistas and capture fine details just 15 inches away. Plus its Vibration Compensation lets you shoot without blur.

This high-performance, high-power zoom lens for digital SLR cameras with APS-C-size sensors was designed in response to consumer demand for expanded focal lengths—both at the wide-angle end of the zoom range and the telephoto end.

The lens has a wider viewing angle than is possible with conventional high-power zoom lenses, providing a minimum focal length of 16mm for true wide-angle shooting. At the telephoto end, the maximum focal length was increased to an impressive 300mm. The result: you get a compact lens you never have to change to get any shot you want.

You’ll also get exceptional framing flexibility since you can easily adjust the angle of view using the lens’s convenient zoom ring. And its minimum focus distance of 15.3 inches makes it possible to get right up close to your subject to enjoy stress-free macro photography.

The Tamron 16–300mm lens makes full use of specialized glass elements to compensate for optical aberrations. In addition, the latest coating technology suppresses reflections on lens surfaces to minimize unwanted flare and ghosting—assuring sharp, crisp, high-contrast images.

Other beneficial features include: an advanced PZD (Piezo Drive) standing-wave ultrasonic motor that delivers faster, quieter, more precise autofocus; Tamron’s acclaimed Vibration Compensation mechanism to reduce blur caused by camera shake, even when shooting handheld at long telephoto settings; and a moisture-resistant body. The lens is available in Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts (the latter without VC). MSRP: $629. tamron-usa.com
