When your phone disappoints in low light, this premium compact camera’s large image sensor will give you superb results. It also offers an impressive real-time viewfinder that automatically adjusts brightness to the scene or can be set manually, allowing shots only possible when shooting with a viewfinder. Add to that superfast autofocus and a tilting LCD.

The Fujifilm X30 is a stylish, premium point-and-shoot camera with class-leading functionality, enhanced battery performance and image quality unrivaled by a smartphone camera.

In addition to its high-quality 2/3-inch X-Trans CMOS II image sensor, the X30 features an advanced EXR II image processor, a new control ring, and extra dials and function buttons for more control. With the X30, you’ll be able to enjoy high-speed 12-frames-per-sec continuous photography and Full HD movie recording. The EXR processor produces images with increased resolution and higher quality at blazing speeds, and it accelerates operational response. It reduces the shooting interval to 0.3 sec and cuts shutter lag time to a mere 0.01 sec.

In low-light settings when the subject is hard to see through the viewfinder, the camera’s AF assist lamp illuminates the subject to assist with autofocus for superb nighttime shots. And you can select from a broad range of ISO 100–12,800 light sensitivity settings for shooting at full 12-megapixel resolution.

Plus, automatically delivering the ideal amount of flash for every scene, the X30 clearly and brightly captures faces even under strong backlit or dark conditions. When shooting macro shots in dim lighting, its smart flash prevents washout of the subject and background. When even more light is required or you’re shooting with the lens hood attached, you can use a separately sold TTL flash.

A tilting 3.0-inch LCD monitor, improved battery performance (470 photos/charge), remote Wi-Fi shooting from a smartphone and a variety of manual functions make shooting with the X30 a pleasure. The X30 also employs a Fujinon 28–112mm f/2.0–2.8 wide angle to telephoto lens. Its built-in OIS (optical image stabilization) mechanism delivers an image stabilizing effect equivalent to 3.0-stop and is extremely effective in preventing blur caused by camera shake or subject movement.

A large handgrip, which improves handling and helps you compose through the real-time viewfinder, is complemented by the upper control deck. The new control ring automatically determines the most appropriate settings for the chosen shooting mode, so functions like aperture and shutter speed can be quickly chosen without taking your eye from the viewfinder. This is enhanced by a manual zoom ring and physical dials that have become a hallmark of Fujifilm’s premium X series.

The X30 also provides a range of film simulation modes, replicating the look of Fujifilm’s pro films, such as Provia, Velvia, Astia, and Classic Chrome. With 80 years of expertise in film development, Fujifilm is passionate about color, and the results can be clearly seen in the X30’s film simulation settings. Plus, you can choose from eight filter effects that add artistic style to your photos.

In addition, for easy wireless transfer of photos to your smartphone or tablet, just download the free Fujifilm Camera Remote app. You can select and transfer up to 30 images at a time. And to automatically save photos to your PC, just turn on the PC and select PC AutoSave from the camera’s menu, then its built-in Wi-Fi will effortlessly transfer your photos and movies to the PC for back up.
