ArcSoft Hires Microsoft Exec to Accelerate Its Consumer & Commercial Business

Fremont, CA—ArcSoft, Inc., a software provider of imaging technologies and applications, named former Microsoft and Staples executive Todd Peters as senior vice president, Consumer and Commercial Business. Peters joins ArcSoft with a primary focus on driving growth of the company’s new direct-to-consumer business.

Peters is tasked with building and driving the growth of ArcSoft’s consumer-facing services and products, as well as bringing his strategic vision to the company’s marketing strategy and execution.

Prior to ArcSoft, Peters served as corporate vice president, Mobile Communications Business, for Microsoft. There he led the team directly responsible for launching the Windows Phone business and reestablishing Microsoft as a credible offering in the mobile category. While at Staples, Peters was credited with the creation and management of the iconic “easy button” campaign as well as the development of a tech services business now available throughout the chain.
