Meriden, NH—The latest advance from the Nissin Group is the MG8000 Extreme Flash—a “machine gun” camera flash that is designed for the heavy user, where maximum flash output is required over a long period of time without overheating or shutting down.

Specs state the unit produces more than 1,000 continuous 1/1 flashes without overheating. And, it delivers all the features of the Nissin Di866 Mark II flash, with the added advantage of unequalled heat resistance. The key to this breakthrough is Nissin’s use of special heat-resistant materials developed for this unique flash. The company also replaced the traditional flashtube with a quartz tube that reduces heat significantly.

The MG8000 is designed to support Canon E-TTL and Nikon iTTL systems. Combined with an external Nissin PS300 power pack, the flash provides maximized performance. It has a fast recycle time of 5.5 seconds with fresh batteries, and even faster with the PS300 power pack. Measuring 5.8×3.1×5 inches and weighing 14.7 ounces, the MG8000 ships with an add-on diffuser and is powered by four AA NiMH or lithium batteries. $629.

Nissin flash units are distributed in the U.S. exclusively by Minox USA and come with a two-year warranty. minox.com
