The rumors can finally stop flying around as Sony has now officially launched the new compact A290 and A390 entry-level DSLR cameras. Among the features the two cameras share: 14-megapixel sensor; 2.7-inch LCD display; Memory Stick and SDHC memory card support; ISO up to 3200; USB 2.0 and HDMI mini connector.
The A390 offers the same image sensor, but adds Sony’s popular (and effective) quick AF live view function in combination with a 2.7″ tilting LCD.
Perhaps the most interesting news surrounding these two releases is their MSRPs – the A290 kit (with 18-55mm lens) will run $499.99 and the A390 will be $599.
