Concord, NC—DNP IMS America, DNP’s U.S. group, has been renamed DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation (DNP IAM). The change, which will be effective July 1, 2014, reflects DNP’s significant expansion and the evolution of the company since it was founded in 1989 to develop dye-sublimation media, barcode ribbon and thin film coating technologies.

All employees, facilities and operations will continue to operate in their current structure. The name change will be phased in gradually across all aspects of the business, including a new web domain—dnpimagingcomm.com.

“DNP has embraced the constantly evolving role of imaging and information delivery in today’s market,” said Kazuhiro Kawabata, president, DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation. “Our new name reflects our commitment to better serve photo retailers and event photographers and provide them with the highest quality products to deliver for their clients, which will ultimately help them grow their own businesses.”

DNP IAM is a 100% U.S. subsidiary of Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP), among the largest manufacturers of dye-sublimation media for photo printers and thermal transfer ribbons and barcode printers.

DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation offers a broad selection of solutions for the photo retail market and products designed to address retailer’s specific business goals and objectives.
