Ridgefield Park, NJ—Polaroid debuted several products at the 2015 International CES, from connected devices, mobile and active accessories for on-the-go consumers, to home theater and imaging.

“The Polaroid brand is one of the most recognized in the world,” said Scott W. Hardy, president and CEO, Polaroid. “As we expand our product offerings, we’re evolving into much more than just a camera company; we are a lifestyle brand, one with a wide range of solutions to meet the needs of today’s consumer. With each and every product that bears our name, the core Polaroid values of instant sharing, fun, ease-of-use and value are woven throughout.”

Polaroid Zip. Unveiled at the show, the Polaroid Zip mobile printer pairs wirelessly to any smartphone or tablet. Using a dedicated mobile app available for iOS or Android, it enables users to instantly print 2×3-inch color photos from any image on their iPhone or Android device. The portable Zip utilizes Zero Ink Printing technology by ZINK Imaging to create full-color, long-lasting and smudgeproof images without ink cartridges, ribbons or toner.

Sporting a high-gloss finish and the Polaroid color spectrum logo, the Zip portable printer is approximately the size of a smartphone, weighing .41 pound and measuring 2.91×4.72 inches. Its app permits users to enhance prints by applying creative filters, effects and controls. These include: adjustments to brightness, contrast, saturation and tint; 12 color filters, including HDR; a collage mode that composes nine images on a print; and the ability to draw in colors using the paint mode, as well as apply frames, stickers, stamps, emojis and animations.

The Polaroid Zip includes an internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that’s capable of printing 25 photos on a charge. It will be available this spring with an SRP of $129.99.
