San Jose, CA—Adobe Systems announced two executive appointments in its global sales and marketing organizations. Each with responsibility for the United States, Canada and Latin America, Garrett Ilg was named vice president of Americas field operations and Bridget Perry was appointed vice president of Americas marketing.

Reporting to Matt Thompson, senior vice president of worldwide field operations, Ilg will direct go-to-market initiatives for Adobe’s digital marketing and enterprise solutions, and drive growth in the media and publishing segments, where customers are moving to digitize print and video assets and define new business models.

President of Adobe Systems Japan from 2006 to 2008, Ilg returns to Adobe after serving as president and representative director of SAP, Japan. While at SAP, he drove consistent revenue growth for its third largest geographical region, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and expanding the partner ecosystem.

“Garrett is deeply familiar with Adobe’s business and our customers’ needs,” said Thompson. “He is known for taking a ‘one team’ approach with customers, and for his ability to keep an intense focus on business goals while driving organizational excellence. As Adobe doubles down on new growth opportunities, Garrett’s perspective and experience make him uniquely suited for this leadership role.”

Reporting to Ann Lewnes, senior vice president of global marketing, Perry will direct regional marketing strategy development and field execution in collaboration with Adobe’s North America Sales and Global Marketing team, driving the marketing pipeline for Adobe’s businesses, as well as lead demand generation programs.

Perry joins Adobe from Microsoft, where she played a leadership role in building Microsoft’s enterprise and partner marketing capabilities since 2003, most recently as senior director of U.S. Enterprise Marketing. Previously, Perry was a strategy consultant at Ernst & Young.

“Bridget brings a strong track record of success in building integrated sales and marketing programs and collaborating with direct sales and channel partners to drive revenue,” said Lewnes. “Adobe is playing an important role in helping our customers transform their businesses, and her expertise will help ensure the effectiveness of our marketing through this exciting time.” adobe.com
