Santa Rosa, CA—Think Tank Photo released the Urban Approach 15, a backpack designed to hold a complete mirrorless camera system, including an attached lens and five to eight additional lenses, as well as a 15-inch laptop, up to a 10-inch tablet, a smartphone and personal items. The backpack has a low–contrast, matte black appearance.

“For quick and complete access to gear, we designed the zippers to open wide,” said Doug Murdoch, Think Tank’s president and lead designer. “This allows for unencumbered access to gear. Its low profile and yet high-quality design and materials allow mirrorless users to feel confident that their compact cameras and personal objects are cradled, safe and at the ready.”

The Urban Approach 15 can convert into a daypack utilizing the removable dividers in the bottom compartment. Internal organizer pockets are provided to give users quick access to filters, batteries or cards, plus a seam-sealed rain cover is included. A tripod can be carried on the side of the backpack with an included strap, and there’s a handle pass-through to carry the backpack on top of rolling luggage.

Other features include: a plush front pocket for a smartphone or wallet; stretchable side pockets for a water bottle, flash or compact umbrella; a shoulder harness with an adjustable sternum strap for all day comfort; YKK RC fuse zippers; 1680D ballistic nylon; metal hardware; nylon seatbelt webbing; and BBG leather accents. In addition, an articulated back panel provides targeted cushioning as well as overall airflow.

The Urban Approach 15 has external dimensions of 11×18.3×7.1 inches and internal dimensions of 9.4×16.3×3.9-5.3 inches. It weighs 3 pounds. $170. thinktankphoto.com
