Two New Panasonic Camcorders

Two New Panasonic Camcorders

Panasonic Monday announced the release of two new high-definition camcorders that the company is dubbing "two of the world’s lightest." Both feature a 16x optical zoom, backed by an Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) function. The camcorders also both weigh a half pound each.

The HDC-SD10 uses a SDHC/SD memory card for recording, while the HDC-TM10 uses both the SDHC/DS plus 8 GB in built-in memory. Both are compatible with Panasonic’s VIERA Link, which makes photos taken with them easily viewable on a Panasonic HDTV.

The camcorders are scheduled to arrive in September, with the HDC-DS10 costing $549.95 and the HDC-TM10 costing $599.95.
