Award-winning photographer Laura Novak has created a pricing application for the iPhone and iPod Touch called PhotoPrice. It is available in the iTunes store and can be found with the search term “PhotoPrice”
PhotoPrice for the iPhone is the first and only application wedding and portrait photographer to assist in pricing services and products. It helps photographers to determine their COGS (or cost of goods sold) on products and services. The website for PhotoPrice can be found here.
The application allows the user to input important details about a specific product and provides a recommended retail price range based on the COGS. The application then has the ability to save that product for future reference, build collections or packages using multiple products and export the price list to an email to send to a customer.
“When I teach photographers at different workshops pricing is always a top concern” says Novak. “It’s for this reason that I have launched just PhotoPrice for the iPhone, the first and only iPhone application to help wedding and portrait photographers price their services. It’s just $4.99 and a great way to learn about pricing and manage your price list at your fingertips.”
10% of all proceeds from PhotoPrice will be donated to Thirst Relief International. Thirst Relief International is responding to the worldwide water crisis by helping thousands of families each year gain access to safe water through simple, low-cost means.
