Circuit City said Monday that they have conducted a survey showing that what mothers want for Mothers’ Day are cameras and other imaging products.

According to the survey of more than 4,000 moms that was conducted recently, many mothers see themselves as the “family historian,” and because of that many are interested in receiving a new camera for Mother’s Day. The survey found of mothers who would like to receive an electronics gift, 38 percent would prefer either a digital camera, camcorder, or digital photo frame. This made it the most popular product among moms, followed by flat-panel TVs (20 percent). In addition 34 percent of mothers said they want a digital photo frame.

In addition, the survey found that 48 percent of moms prefer to use a camera, two percent prefer a camcorder, and 49 percent use both.
