Dell announced this week that it will launch a new communications division in order to sell mobile phones and other mobile devices, CNBC reported.
Dell recently introduced its first Android-based smartphone, which will debut in China prior to arriving stateside.
The new division will be headed by Ron Garriques, former head of Dell's consumer division.
