Best Buy earned some of the highest marks in a recent survey of retail web site reliability over the holiday season. According to the ePayments News Network Web site, of the 26 top sites surveyed, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble and Cabelas ranked at the top overall. Additionally, Circuit City was among the winners in best Web site responsiveness.
Others included in the survey were Amazon.com, Home Depot, Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Victoria’s Secret, and several others.
One of the keys Best Buy’s success in the survey was that it suffered “either no downtime or downtimes less than one to two hours” during the holiday season. The average time down for the companies listed was 5 to 10 percent slowdowns.
