CEA and Parents’ Choice Foundation announced Monday the creation of “Sandbox Summit: A Playdate With Technology,” which will run throughout CES starting January 8, 2008. The conference and exhibition will focus on high-tech toys and media for children, exploring how they interact with technology.
Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson will make appearances at the Sandbox to discuss Internet safety. Sesame Workshop President and CEO Gary E. Knell and beloved children’s icon Elmo will deliver the keynote.
Among the scheduled events is a “Tech Toys PlayOffs” in which kids will rate a variety tech toys in a video demonstration.
