In keeping with the May is National Photo Month theme – TakeGreatPictures.com is celebrating National Photo Month this May as well with a major spring and summer Photo Tips campaign that encourages everybody from children to serious hobbyists to get out and take pictures in their community.

The centerpiece of the campaign is a series of articles by TakeGreatPictures.com’s roster of expert contributors with tips on taking memorable photos in the spring and summer- everything from candid vacation shots to detailed nature photography. Moreover, there will be articles on keep-saking those photos in scrapbooks, photo albums, coffee table books, and even unusual formats like puzzles, mugs, and T-shirts.

TakeGreatPictures.com is also running a National Photo Month contest. Entrants will submit their best spring- or summer-themed photo to be judged by a panel of TakeGreatPictures.com photographers. The winner will receive a weekend trip for two to any location in the continental U.S. Furthermore, TakeGreatPictures.com will also have a photographer in the winner’s hometown take their picture at the local PMA Photo Marketing Association (PMA) member retailer, which will be posted on TakeGreatPictures.com and in a national photography magazine.

The articles on TakeGreatPictures.com coincide with an initiative by the site’s partner PMA to create National Photo Month displays in retailers around the country highlighting photo tips, techniques, and new products to help consumers take their best pictures ever.
