Long Beach, CA—Røde announced that it has named Dr. Sam Bucolo as its new chief of design. Moreover, Dr. Bucolo joins Røde from the Australia Design Council, where he is currently chief executive officer.

Røde Names New Chief of Design
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Dr. Bucolo has worked for a number of organizations, implementing design-led innovation strategies across design, technology and education sectors. Further, a key hire for Røde, he will oversee all aspects of research, development and design across the company’s product range. He will have a focus on driving innovation as well as leading Røde’s ongoing global R&D expansion.
Additionally, this appointment follows a landmark twelve months for Røde. During that time, the company released some of its most innovative products to date. This includes its first foray into the video category with the Streamer X. It is the first integrated professional audio interface and video capture card. It also launched the NT1 5th Generation. This studio condenser microphone features both XLR and USB connectivity. Most recently, Røde introduced the Wireless PRO, with 32-bit float onboard recording, timecode capabilities as well as GainAssist technology.
