Valhalla, NY—Fujifilm Corporation revealed that it will launch the Fujifilm TG-BT1 tripod grip in mid-December 2022. The grip will augment the accessory line for the company’s X series of digital cameras.
The TG-BT1 is a grip for X series cameras that enhances mobility and the camera’s hold while adding the functionality of a tripod. By attaching the TG-BT1 to a camera, shooters can comfortably take selfies and low–angle shots, which can be difficult to hold in position.
Moreover, when used as a tripod, the TG-BT1 can support a range of applications, from shooting tabletop still images to group shots. Further, by pairing the TG-BT1 with a compatible camera via Bluetooth, remote shooting operation is enabled for a more flexible shooting experience.
Fujifilm TG-BT1 Tripod Grip Features
The TG-BT1 allows photographers to adjust the camera angle 180º vertically as well as 360º horizontally. By rotating the TG-BT1 180º horizontally, it acts as a selfie grip. Conversely, by rotating it 90º vertically, photographers can use it as a shooting grip for low–angle shots or videos.
Further, when they expand its tripod legs, the grip acts as a tripod for taking group shots or when setting up a fixed-point camera.
In addition, by pairing it with a compatible camera via Bluetooth, remote shooting operation for both stills and movies is enabled. What’s more, when a lens equipped with power zoom is attached, photographers can use the T/W button for zoom operation.
The TG-BT1 measures 6.8 inches in height with its legs retracted. In addition, it weighs in at approximately 7.2 ounces, excluding battery. The compact size allows users to keep it in a small bag for travel.
The tripod grip is also weather resistant and has a maximum load of 3.3 pounds. The TG-BT1 will reach retail in mid-December. It will have a suggested retail price of $199.99.
