Petaluma, CA—Lowepro introduced a high-performing outdoor camera backpack for outdoor and wildlife specific photo and video assignments. The Lowepro Pro Trekker 650 AW II backpack features waterproof details, a main fabric coating and rugged materials. Additionally, it comes with an all-weather (AW) cover to protect gear from rain, snow and dust.

The backpack is made of the same technical woven materials as the rest of the ProTrekker series. However, since this pack has back access, Lowepro also added panels of resistant ripstop. Additionally, it has carbonate and TPU coatings for further durability when setting the bag down. Plus, all the zippers are sealed to deliver extra waterproofness.
Lowepro also sought to elevate the carrying experience with an adjustable harness system. It features double density cushioning paired with Lowepro’s ActivLift. Lowepro designed ActivLift to deliver a custom carry experience with the ability to adjust the torso length.
Further, the main camera compartment has back access and delivers camera configurations that fit up to an 800mm f/5.6 lens on a DSLR with a portrait grip. Or it can accommodate a CN20 on a RED body for nature cinematographers, plus a pro drone set up.
The company also built in cross-functionality and custom combinations. That’s due to a series of webbing loops, a pair of included accessory straps, as well as a deployable tripod cup coated zipper closure on the front pocket. If you need to carry two tripods, there are also dedicated tripod straps on the side. Both the front and side will carry a range of tripods, including a Gitzo Systematic.
What’s more, on the opposite side, the bag has a large, zippered pocket with a passthrough and an attach loop for a 2L hydration reservoir. Outside there’s also a big stretch pocket and compression straps to secure a water bottle. Furthermore, the front sports a coated zipper closure on the front pocket, with a CradleFit 16-inch laptop sleeve and other pockets inside.
