The consumer electronics industry is looking at its bleakest holiday season in memory thanks to the struggling economy. That’s according to analysts and economists quoted by Reuters.
The experts attribute the expected slowdown mostly to a lack of cash in the pockets of consumers, with other indicators including the recent stock drops of several top CE manufacturers, including Apple. In addition, a report issued by the government this week found that consumer spending dropped in August.
