Marina, CA—The StellaPro Reflex S continuous strobe hybrid LED light was upgraded for more power and faster speeds. Moreover, the company also reduced the price of the light.
The upgraded StellaPro Reflex S features 50% more burst power than the original. In addition, it has double the run time and 50% more continuous power. StellaPro also made it 50% faster; it now achieves 30-frames-per-second full-power bursts.
“Industry professionals wanted one light capable of shooting both stills and video. So, we created the Reflex S continuous/strobe hybrid LED light,” the company stated. “The Reflex S boasts ultra-portable continuous lights that can also strobe in digital burst mode. It now strobes up to 30 frames per second at twice the power, with more total light output than any light we’ve ever created.”
StellaPro Reflex S Upgrades
The same multifunction hybrid light now provides a more powerful continuous mode capable of delivering up to 9,000 lumens of light. Furthermore, the upgraded unit also offers the ability to seamlessly switch into digital burst mode at up to 30 fps in full power at 18,000 lumens. And the company says it can do so “with no misfires, no overheating, no recycle time and lightning-quick flash duration of 5ms.”
What’s more, it can achieve these speeds out of the battery handle or a 100W power supply:
- 9,000 lumens for 40 minutes
- 6,000 lumens for 1.25 hours
- 3,000 lumens for 2.5 hours
The upgraded hybrid LED light is a solution for wedding, action/sports, portraiture, adventure, cinematic and editorial/news applications as well as for casual lighting. Moreover, the unit is both portable and rugged. It weighs less than 3 pounds, including the swappable, rechargeable USB-C battery handle. In addition, it features IP65-rated water resistance and is impact resistant up to 3.3 feet.
Compatible with the Elinchrom Quadra mount, the Reflex S works with an array of existing modifiers and light stands. They include Chimera softboxes as well as Spider holsters. Currently, an iOS app is available for product registration and firmware updates.

The Reflex S includes a medium optic; a flat port DM; a Reflex USB-C cable (4 inches); a Reflex USB-C cable (2 feet); and a Reflex quick-switch battery.
