Sony will make the compact, high-performance CFexpress Type A memory card CEA-G320T available in October. The 320GB card will have a suggested retail price of $650. Furthermore, the CFexpress Type A 640GB memory card CEA-G640T will reach retail shelves in December. It will have a suggested retail price of $1,250.
Sony will add the large capacity 320GB and 640GB CFexpress Type A cards to the series. They will join the existing 80GB and 160GB cards. What’s more, these large capacity memory cards support high-speed performance with a maximum writing speed of up to 700MB/s.
In addition, they support the Video Performance Guarantee, VPG400. This standard offers sustained writing speeds of up to 400MB/s as well as enables 4K 120p high bit-rate video shooting.
What’s more, the new large capacity cards have achieved the “Tough” specification. This means they were certified to be waterproof, dustproof and robust enough to support stable long-term shooting in various environments.
