Circuit City Commissions Grad Survey

795

As graduation day approaches for high school and college students, Circuit City has conducted a survey of what exactly grads want for a gift. The conclusion? More than half of males asked and just under a third of females would like some sort of electronics gift.

According to the survey of 2,400 college students, conducted by Circuit City partner Decision Analysts, a full 44 percent of college students would like some CE product as a graduation gift. Computers were a popular choice, with 79 percent of those asked considering them the “most useful” potential gift,” while computers finished in a tie for “most fun” gift along with video game systems. Third most-fun was digital cameras, with 20 percent, followed by mp3 players (10 percent.)

Additionally, two-thirds of those asked said they would prefer a gift card to a specific item chosen by the person giving the gift.

1.5 percent of respondents told survey-takers that they want no graduation gift at all.
