Durst’s Jota unit brings us back to the “Big” for a moment as this 8-color inkjet system takes their earlier album-making machine to new heights. The Jota system consists of a fairly basic album design software program, a built-in XY cutter and a book-binding device. Double-sided printing is also part of the mix, as you might expect, so full image spreads can be presented. The unit can also produce double-sided greeting cards, invitations, brochures and the like. The demo at the Durst booth featured a wide array of album/photo book products all produced with relative ease in a matter of minutes.
No price has been set for Jota as we went to press and availability was set for early next year.
