Mitsubishi’s electronics subsidiary has announced a long-term “environmental management vision” for the next 15 years, a company-wide strategy aimed at improving its environmental behaviors prior to 2021, when the company celebrates its centennial.
The initiative, called “Environmental Vision 2021,” is subtitled “Making Contributions to the Earth and its People Through Technology and Action,” includes such goals as reducing cardon dioxide emissions, both in the production process and from usage of the products, while also encouraging recycling of its products. Employees will also be trained in environmental awareness.
The initiative was announced in Tokyo on Sunday.
