Madrid, Spain—The TIPA World Awards ceremony will take place Friday, September 22, 2023, at 10:30 CEST on the Photopia stage. Photopia is the four-day Festival of Imaging held in Hamburg, Germany.
The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) is an organization comprised of editors and representatives of photographic magazines and online publications from North America, Europe, Asia as well as Australia. It also includes individual imaging and technology expert members. Spanning the consumer, professional and trade sectors, all members are dedicated to bringing the message of the joy of photography as well as providing technical, business and industry news and information to their readers.
Hosted by Thomas Gerwers, TIPA’s chairman, the awards ceremony will also livestream. It will feature presentations of the TIPA World Award trophies to winners of the TIPA 2023 World Awards. Company representatives will attend in person as well as on the livestream feed, granting access to a worldwide audience available via a video link.
TIPA World Awards Ceremony
This event marks the third year of the exclusive partnership between TIPA and the Hamburg Messe and Congress for hosting the TIPA World Awards presentation at Photopia. The photo festival is a celebration of imaging at both the Hamburg Messe exhibition campus and throughout the city of Hamburg. 
TIPA award winners reflect a wide range of cameras and lenses that cover every category, from entry level to expert and professional. In addition, the winners represent the amazing variety of products and services that make up the imaging industry today. For instance, there are awards in 40 categories, including inkjet papers, imaging software, storage media, monitors, video cameras and accessories.
What’s more, the live event will stream so that those who could not make the journey can participate and share in the excitement. Furthermore, TIPA will make a video of the event available soon after on its website.
