North White Plains, NY—The Saramonic Blink 500 ProX is the next generation of the Blink 500 Pro microphone system. The ProX combines popular features of the original Blink 500 Pro system with a smaller, lighter updated design.

Moreover, the 500 ProX wireless mic system offers less latency, more reliability, upgraded OLED displays with real-time metering, longer battery life, higher-resolution audio signals, wider frequency response as well as higher signal-to-noise ratio. Additionally, there are more new features that set the ProX apart from the original Pro system.

“The new Blink ProX system takes everything that was great about the original Pro system and upgrades every aspect of it,” said Joe Nassar, manager, Saramonic Product Marketing. “Better sound, more power, more reliability and unrivaled expandability. And it’s even easier to use with everything you need in the box.”

Boasting the original dual 2.4GHz wireless system, Blink 500 ProX TX transmitters are small and light enough to clip it to a collar. As such, they allow use of a built-in omnidirectional mic. The transmitters’ lavalier microphones enable one or two persons to use them as traditional belt pack transmitters for a professional, discreet solution.

In addition, users can switch them to line-level and connect them to mixers, music players or any line-level device output they want to transmit wirelessly to the receiver. Plus, an OLED display provides real-time input level metering. Tactile input gain controls also enable users to adjust the audio gain. Further, a soft-touch mute button quickly mutes the transmitter for privacy.

What’s more, the Blink 500 ProX system offers a choice of three dual-channel receivers that offer flexibility and functionality, no matter what device users record with. Additionally, they have a selectable mono/stereo output setting. As a result, users can record each mic to separate channels, or mix both to the left and right sides of the recording.

They also incorporate a 3.5mm headphone output so users can monitor the sound in real time. This is vital if the user’s device lacks a headphone output. Further, the systems provide a 328-foot line-of-sight range and automatic channel switching.

Blink 500 ProX B1 and B2 Receivers

The B1 and B2 systems include a camera-mountable RX receiver. It provides a 10-hour battery life. Further, an OLED display shows the battery life and headphone level as well as each transmitters’ level meter, battery life and wireless connection strength with just a glance.

The receivers also include TRS and TRRS output cables. As a result, the systems work with cameras, smartphones, tablets, computers, recorders, mixers as well as other 3.5mm input devices.

Blink 500 ProX B3, B4, B5 and B6

The B3, B4, B5 and B6 systems include device-mountable RXDi (B3/B4) or RXUC (B5/B6) receivers. Battery-free, ultracompact and lightweight, they mount directly on a Lightning or USB-C device. Thus, they provide a digital audio connection to the device while not adding excess weight or bulk.

Furthermore, the Blink 500 ProX transmitters’ and B1/B2 receivers’ 10-hour battery life enables users to shoot for an entire day on one charge. They also include a charging carry case that provides an additional 2.5 (B1/B2) to 5 (B3/B4/B5/B6) full system charges anywhere. That’s 35 hours of filming on a full system and case charge.

Opening the charging case turns the system on; closing the case turns it off, automatically. For more powering versatility, the transmitters and B1/B2 receivers integrate USB-C charging ports. Consequently, users can power them while in use or charge them outside the case using USB battery packs or a power supply.
