The compact Osmo Pocket 3 employs a 1-inch CMOS sensor to perform even in challenging lighting. Moreover, it shoots in 4K at up to120 frames per sec. Additionally, via specialized image quality optimization, the device’s night shots can capture low-light scenes with more clarity and authentic color. What’s more, the camera will fine-tune the exposure for different skin tones to help deliver a clear, healthy complexion.

For professional-level creations, the Osmo Pocket 3 offers 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG color modes. Consequently, it can record landscapes with detail, presenting more accurate colors and vivid highlights. Furthermore, with 10-bit D-Log M, you benefit from one billion colors. Plus, 10-bit HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) HDR provides a higher dynamic range, viewable on HDR-enabled equipment.

The device also introduces intelligent features. Its 2-inch, rotatable, color OLED touchscreen provides fingertip control. Moreover, DJI says that with the device’s full-pixel fast focusing, you “are ensured sharp focus even with quick-moving subjects.” Further, the camera introduces a product showcase mode for livestreaming and product showcasing. And with a three-axis mechanical stabilization, it helps ensure steady images during dynamic camera movements.

In addition, DJI’s ActiveTrack 6.0 offers multiple follow modes. For example, it offers face auto-detect and dynamic framing, for cinematic footage. Moreover, a built-in three-mic array reduces wind noise and captures omnidirectional stereo sound. DJI Mic 2 compatibility also enables dual-person recording for vlogs, interviews and livestreams.

Further, Glamour Effects 2.0 adds personalized beauty options, while the device’s automatic axis locks the gimbal in its storage position. Plus, specs state you can charge its built-in 1300mAh battery to 80% in 16 minutes. When fully charged, it will record up to 116 minutes of 4K/60-fps footage or up to 166 minutes of 1080p/24-fps footage.

Creative Modes

The Osmo Pocket 3 livestreams in high definition as well as functions as a webcam for online meetings and video chats. Its built-in timecode function streamlines postproduction, so footage syncs between different cameras.

  • SpinShot: You can realize 180° smooth camera movements with one hand.
  • Motionlapse: From sunrises to city traffic, it captures the flow of time.
  • Digital Zoom: You get up to 4x digital zoom to get closer.
  • Panorama: It captures sweeping landscapes and scenes with more detail.

In addition, when you connect your Osmo Pocket 3 with DJI’s LightCut app, you benefit from one-tap edit features for easier content creation. Using artificial intelligence recognition, it highlights moments from your footage and generates shareable 4K videos. The app also provides a range of video templates. They comprise various themes, like vlogs, travel adventures, parties, family gatherings, pet moments, food experiences as well as daily life. Additionally, the app’s editing process eliminates the need to download footage during editing. Thus, it preserves storage space on your smartphone.
