New York, NY—To celebrate Film Photography Day 2023, the Lomographic Society wanted to do something out of the ordinary. And they wanted to make a mark on the film photography world. So, they launched the Lomography School as a guide to all things analog.
“We think that film is forever, and for that reason we’re catapulting into a new era of analog photography. Forget about stuffy classrooms with gray walls, uncomfy desks and chewing gum on the seats. We’ve just launched the most exciting and inspiring school,” the company announced. 
“You are hereby cordially invited to attend the Lomography School! We’re launching this dedicated online learning space to make creativity accessible to all—totally free. No more hard-to-understand descriptions.”
Lomography School for Analog Photography
To begin, Lomo put together the answers to its most-frequently-asked questions from the Lomo community. Their mission is to become a leading space on the Internet to learn all about analog. The online learning experience begins with the basic techniques and goes up to how to take experimental Lomographs.
The school for shutterbugs is housed in a new section of the company’s website. Moreover, it’s aimed at anyone with a passion for analog photography. Whether you’ve never touched a film camera before or you’re someone who likes the look but doesn’t know where to start, this is for you. There’s even room here for experienced film photographers to get more creative.
The Lomography School also provides information about all the experimental techniques that have inspired the imagination of Lomographers for the past 30 years. Users can learn how to shoot multiple exposures, uncover handy tips as well as tricks like mastering the pinhole.
There are also easy-to-understand detailed explanations about what pushing and pulling mean. Plus, if the answer isn’t there, Lomo has set up a dedicated mailbox, school@lomography.com, for students to send in questions.

In 1992, the Lomographic Society International was created by students. Their simple idea exploded into an eccentric global movement that became the wild child of analog photography. 
Moreover, to support the creative endeavors of its community, the company provides an ever-expanding range of experimental analog cameras, film and accessories both through its online shop and global network of retail partners.
Furthermore, there are currently more than one million creative community members committed to Lomography. What’s more, they’ve uploaded 15 million photos to the company’s community site. Consequently, it is one of the largest online archives of analog and experimental photography in the world.
