New York, NY—Rokinon introduced a new lineup of lenses optimized for video content creators. The new Cine AF (autofocus) lineup is custom designed for videography. The first lens from the new Cine AF line is the Rokinon Cine AF 75mm T1.9.

In addition, Rokinon announced it will release four more lenses by the end of 2023.

Rokinon Cine AF 75mm T1.9 Key Features

The Cine AF line increases compatibility with gimbals and drones by applying unified form factors with five different focal lengths (ultrawide to medium-tele). By providing a compact size of 73x70mm and a light weight of less than 11 ounces, there is no need to reset the equipment when changing the lenses.

Moreover, the new lens features a tally lamp located on the front that helps the user to check whether a video is recording or not while shooting. It also supports video content creation more conveniently, even in a small space without a lot of equipment.

In addition, as a Cine AF series lens, it supports resolutions up to 8K in a small and lightweight form. As a result, the lens is well suited for use with handheld gimbals and drones, as well as for studios and location productions.

Furthermore, all lenses within the Cine AF series are color-matched to avoid shifts when swapping lenses. They also feature 9 aperture blades to allow for a natural-looking bokeh effect.

The new lens also has a custom switch and button. It features the “focus save” function usually found in professional cine equipment. Also, a custom mode adds function via firmware, which provides video-specific functions for cinematography students and amateurs.

The Cine AF 75mm T1.9 has a suggested retail price of $649.
