North White Plains, NY—Nanlite announced two lightweight LED bicolor spotlights. The new Nanlite FC-500B and FC-300B are 500-watt and 300-watt fixtures, respectively, featuring lightweight heads. What’s more, they have built-in controls and separate power adapters with safety straps and quick-release plates for mounting.

The company also introduced PavoTube II XR Pixel Tubes with built-in CRMX.

The spotlights are powered through AC. Moreover, battery-power capabilities will soon launch. Additional control options are provided through locking 3.5mm DMX ports, Bluetooth and 2.4G. In addition, they have yokes that allow 360° rotation and feature single-sided, stepless locks. Plus, a range of light modifiers are compatible with their standard Bowens mounts. The spotlights also have integrated umbrella mounts for more light-shaping options.

Furthermore, the FC series lights have features usually found on more advanced fixtures. They include glass-protected COBs; smart fan modes; constant and maximum output modes; as well as quick-press jumping to popular CCTs. The FC-500B additionally has dimming options in 0.1% increments so you can fine-tune its intensity.

The FC-300B and FC-500B ship with foam cases for storing as well as transporting the lights. Nanlite says, “The foam cases that come with the FC series have been specifically engineered to be fast and easy to pack and unpack.”

Further, until now, Nanlite spotlights have all shared a dark, understated design that didn’t call attention to the units. However, Nanlite is trying something new with the FC series by using lighter colors with more interesting lines to create more of a visual presence.

The Nanlite FC-300B spotlight has a suggested retail price of $479. The Nanlite FC-500B has an SRP of $699.

Nanlite PavoTube II XR Pixel Tubes with CRMX

The new Nanlite PavoTube II XR Pixel Tubes are identical to the X series, except they have CRMX LumenRadio wireless DMX built in.

“The X series tubes have earned a reputation for being versatile, durable and a great value considering the level of performance they provide. The new PavoTube II XR line provides the exact same experience, with the addition of LumenRadio CRMX,” Nanlite announced. Nanlite adds that “CRMX provides the speed and reliability of DMX control with the massive advantage of being wireless.”

The new tubes are also the same lengths as the X series tubes. The line comprises the 2-foot 15XR, 4-foot 30XR and 8-foot 60XR. Further, you can wirelessly control them with their integrated LumenRadio wireless receivers, via a separately available transmitter.

The XR tubes can also hop frequencies to find the strongest transmission from point to point. And their wireless mesh system and metal construction enable them to operate in robust working environments.

They also feature three metal mounting points; diffused illumination areas; animated pixel effects; as well as bicolor and RGB hues. In addition, they are bright enough for use as a key light or dim enough for use as a practical in-frame light. With the same weight and dimensions of the X series, the XR tubes are also compatible with the same accessories, modifiers, stands, waterproof housings and T12 tube clips.

Like the X series tubes, new XR kits come with power supplies for each light that charge internal batteries as well as let you run them continuously. The included rigging and powering accessories fit into the included padded carrying cases for the 2- and 4-kits; the 8-kits come with hard cases. Moreover, the 60XR 8-kit comes in the same flight case as the 60X 8-kit. It features foam cutouts, swivel casters, recessed hand grips, wheel plates for stacking as well as additional accessories.
