White Plains, NY—Calibrite released a new monitor module—Calibrite Profiler software. The intuitive, color-profiling workflow solution offers a logical user interface to deliver monitor profiling with a few clicks.

“This software release represents Calibrite’s commitment to innovation and excellence in color calibration and profiling for photographers, video editors and all content creatives. Listening to the customer and responding with simple solutions that make streamlining color workflow a practicable priority is our number one goal. And with Profiler, this is possible,” explained Brenda K. Hipsher, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Calibrite.

Further, Calibrite Profiler is powered by X-Rite’s color science technology.

The software provides built-in presets for those new to color management as well as customizable features for more advanced users. Furthermore, whether photographers and video editors use it on a laptop or desktop monitor, the software ensures that monitors are accurately showing what is really in the file they’re viewing.

Moreover, there are presets for photo, video and prepress. In addition, there are intuitive one-click options for a quicker profiling process. Users can also modify luminance, white point, contrast targets and patch sizes through advanced settings for more defined customization.

They can also save and name custom settings for future use. The user-defined presets will export, share and import for use on other computers. Sharing user-defined profiles makes it easier to streamline customizable settings within a team or across computer labs, to help ensure an accurate collective color workflow.

Optimized Utilities

Calibrite also integrated a new suite of utilities into Profiler. The goal was to make it simpler to evaluate the monitor and confirm the quality of a profile. For instance, the monitor uniformity utility allows the sampling of nine positions on the monitor surface to evaluate the uniformity of luminance and color across the screen.

Additionally, a monitor validation utility uses industry standard colors to calculate and return an in-depth report on the quality of a created profile. Further, the preset manager utility permits users to export, import or delete custom presets created in Profiler.

Calibrite will soon also add the monitor quick check utility, which will confirm the profile in use is performing correctly. Consequently, it will help establish how often users should calibrate the monitor to account for normal drift.

Also soon to be added, profile manager will provide users with a path to delete old profiles to keep systems clear of clutter.

There is also a product registration utility to register a product. Calibrite Profiler is free to all Calibrite device owners. X-Rite branded device users can upgrade to the new software for $9.99.
