The Consumer Electronics Association announced Monday that attendance at International CES last week reached 140,000, which beat estimates and marks a return to pre-recession levels.
The numbers are preliminary and subject to an audit, which will release official figures later this year.
“The 2011 International CES was a phenomenal worldwide event that spanned global industries, including technology, automotive and entertainment markets,” CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro said in a statement. “This global technology gathering featured more innovation, more news, more social media buzz and more international attendance than any other show in CES history.”
