Gates Leads Speakers at 2008 CES

The Consumer Electronics Association announced Thursday that Microsoft founder Bill Gates will deliver a keynote address at the 2008 International CES next January in Las Vegas. Gates will be joined a pair of other industry luminaries, Intel CEO Paul Otellini and Toshihiro Sakamoto, chief of Panasonic’s consumer electronics division.

The 2008 speech will mark Gates’ tenth time delivering a CES keynote.

Gates will deliver the pre-show keynote at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 6 (a Sunday), with Sakamato to follow the next morning at 8:30 a.m., with CEA president/CEO Gary Shapiro’s “State of the Industry” address to follow. Otellini will speak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7.

All of the addresses will take place in the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian hotel.
