For as long as I’ve been in this business, I’ve had enormous respect for the many dealers that have adapted to new challenges by evolving their businesses. And Roberts Camera has always been one of the shining stars.
E-tailer of the Year
It’s has been such a pleasure working with Bruce Pallman over the last 25 years or so. He’s at the head of the “nice guys finish first” class. And that’s why it’s not really a surprise that his daughter, Meredith, and son-in-law, Corey, have taken the helm of Roberts. They have brought it to the next level while continuing to garner the respect of the imaging industry.
We’d like to congratulate Roberts Camera and their many employees for earning our 2023 E-tailer of the Year designation. You’ll see by the excellent article written by Bill McCurry that Roberts continues to respond to the marketplace. They have made it through the pandemic and taken their UsedPhotoPro venture to new heights. In addition, they continue to drive their online businesses through innovation and sheer excellence.

Finally, we tackle the issue of AI, and whether it’s ethical to use AI-assisted images for editorial. There will be much written about AI in the coming months. Growing concerns include the issue of whether we can trust what we’re seeing with our own eyes!
