San Jose, CA—Logitech acquired Loupedeck as part of a strategy to enhance its ability to deliver a premium experience and content creation applications for all types of creators.

The Helsinki-based Loupedeck provides custom consoles and software to make the creative process faster and more intuitive for streamers, creators and gamers. The Loupedeck acquisition was made for an undisclosed, non-material amount.

“Empowering streamers, creators and gamers is a joint passion of Loupedeck and Logitech. Together we are focused on removing all barriers so they can create, edit and stream without limits,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager of Logitech G. “This acquisition augments Logitech’s product portfolio today. It also accelerates our software ambitions of enabling keyboards, mice and more to become smarter and contextually aware, creating a better experience for audiences across Logitech.”

With this acquisition, Logitech seeks to enhance the creative process for livestreamers, gamers and other creative professionals. Logitech and Loupedeck plan to provide a more seamless experience for creators from onboarding to everyday use with presets available out of the box. They will also offer tighter coupling between Loupedeck devices and the Streamlabs popular suite of applications and services.

The companies have complementary expertise and abilities to develop products that tightly couple hardware and software. This will further enhance Logitech’s ability to provide customizable, contextual control experiences for its full portfolio of devices. Additionally, Loupedeck has a growing developer community that Logitech intends to support to unlock further innovation.

Loupedeck will continue supporting its customers and partners and will operate as usual for the foreseeable future. Headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, Loupedeck was founded in 2016.

The company is the creator of Loupedeck+, the Creative Tool (CT) as well as the Live and Live S. In addition, it creates custom-built editing consoles to improve the experiences of major software programs. The applications include photo, video and audio editing, design as well as livestreaming.
